A journal that sees
both sides of you.

Beat Journal weaves what you write with what your body is actually doing — sleep, heart, training, weather — so the patterns you never quite caught finally show themselves.

The journal part still feels like a journal — only better.

Tap to write. Hold to speak. Each entry sits next to the sleep you got, the workouts you logged, and the weather you woke up to — so context is already there when you need it. No prompts you didn't ask for. No streaks shaming you for missing Tuesday.

  • Voice entries transcribed entirely on-device — audio never leaves your phone.
  • Light-touch mood, stress, and energy chips. Or skip them and just write.
  • Photo attachments, search, and iCloud sync across your Apple devices.
  • Import from Day One or Apple Journal in a single tap.

Every wearable you own, finally reading from the same page.

Apple Health, Oura Ring, Hevy, your calendar, your local weather — all merged onto a single dashboard that doesn't make you pick. Set source priority once, and Beat Journal resolves conflicts in the background. No more flipping between four apps to ask the same question.

  • Sleep, activity, heart, body, mindful minutes — every metric, drillable to a trend.
  • Card-by-card customization. Show what matters. Hide what doesn't.
  • Today, 7 days, 30 days — flip between scales without losing your place.
  • Calendar context: meeting count and total time, not your event content.

A weekly story, written from your own evidence.

Every Sunday, Beat Journal stitches the week together — sleep curves, training load, the line you wrote on Wednesday morning — and hands back a short, honest report. It's not a chatbot. It's not predictive. It's a calm look at what actually happened, with the data sitting right there to check.

  • Powered by Claude, with a schema that guarantees grounded output — no hallucinated metrics.
  • Selected evidence only. Your raw history never leaves the device by default.
  • Patterns, gentle experiments to try, and what your body was telling you all week.
  • Separate, revocable consent — turn it off, your local journal still works.

Search your past by how your body felt.

Ask the question no other journal can answer: what was I writing the last time my sleep dropped below seven hours? Beat Journal's search lets you combine words and biometrics — date ranges, sleep thresholds, HRV bands — so the patterns hiding in your archive surface in seconds.

  • Full-text search across every entry, instantly.
  • Filter by sleep, HRV, steps, heart rate — any metric you track.
  • "Metric-only days" toggle for days you didn't write but your body did.
  • Search stays entirely on-device. Nothing indexed in the cloud.

Bring your existing data — no migration tax.

Hooked on Oura? Lifting through Hevy? Just want Apple Health? Beat Journal connects each source once, picks up a 30-day backfill, and starts displaying normalized daily metrics immediately. Disconnect any source at any time, from one tidy screen.

  • Apple HealthKit, Oura Ring, Hevy, Apple EventKit, Apple WeatherKit.
  • Source priority resolves disagreements between devices.
  • API keys live in the iOS Keychain — Beat Journal never sees them in plain text.
  • One-tap import from Day One or Apple Journal.

Designed so your data never has to leave you to be useful.

Beat Journal was built around one rule: the journal works completely offline. Health data, search, retrieval, and your private writing all stay on your device. The only thing that moves is what you explicitly send — and you can turn that off without losing a single entry.

On-device first.

Voice transcription, full-text search, and metric retrieval all happen on your iPhone. Your journal entries are stored locally with optional iCloud sync — never on a Beat Journal server.

AI is opt-in, not assumed.

Weekly insights require a separate, explicit consent. You can revoke it any time. We don't log raw prompts or responses, and we don't sell anything to anyone.

You can leave clean.

A single button erases everything — local data, iCloud-synced entries, API keys, the lot. Take an export with you if you'd like. No emails to support required.

A journal you'll
actually keep
because it finally
listens back.
